Speaker Terms and Conditions

1. After you contact us
We will send you a proposal setting out:
• How you have asked us to help you
• A record of our title, your event details, venue, dates, timings and other key information about the event including your aims
• A fixed price for our work and an outline of expected expenses
• Your return on investment

2. What to Expect
2.1 What You Can Expect from Us
2.1.1 We will carry out the services outlined in our proposal.
2.1.2 We will do our best to meet your objectives and will advise you if we consider any of them are unreasonable or unattainable.
2.1.3 We will act with professionalism, positivity and passion.
2.1.4 We will handle your data lawfully, fairly and transparently.

2.2 What We Expect from You
2.2.1 You will pay the fee outlined in our proposal (plus vat and any expenses we incur) no less than 7 days before your event, unless agreed in writing.
2.2.2 You will provide the information to complete the pre-event questionnaire quickly.
2.2.3 You will inform us immediately if you think we are missing relevant information, you want to change any element of this proposal or no longer wish to continue.
2.2.4 You will act professionally.
2.2.5 You will organise the venue and all delegate refreshments.
2.2.6 You will allow access to the venue 1 hour before the event and provide, free of charge, the use of a wireless Lapel Microphone, computer and projector.

3. Sharing Information
3.1 We want to publicise our involvement in your event as we are proud of working with you.
3.2 You may not take, share or copy any presentation, image, audio or video of the event or event materials, without our consent.
3.3 You may not store our presentation or event materials on an intranet or database without our consent.
3.4 You may share quotes and images on social media provided you include our social media links.
3.5 Copyright in any presentations or event materials belongs to Darren Harris.
3.6 Copyright in those images or recordings belongs to Darren Harris and you will provide us with a copy of any images and recordings for our use.
3.7 We will keep information provided during this project confidential, unless we need to use it for the event, it is public, or we are required by law to disclose it.
3.8 We will protect your data according to our privacy notice.

4. Changing Dates
4.1 In the event of cancellation by you, provided at least one weeks’ notice is given, you will pay all expenses incurred, and 50% of the agree fee. Where the cancellation is given less than one week before the event, you will pay all expenses and the full fee.
4.2 If we jointly can agree a suitable alternative date for your event or a similar event, then we may discount these cancellation fees.
4.3 If, for reasons beyond our control, your speaker is unable to speak at your event, we will reimburse any fees or expenses paid or incurred and propose alternative dates or speakers to carry out the Services, which you may choose whether or not to accept.
4.4 Except as set out above, we are liable to you for any loss or damage resulting from the changing the date or content of the event.

5. Satisfying Your Needs
5.1 We will have up to 3 scoping discussions to ensure the event meets your needs and the aims of any wider event or programme.
5.2 We are not liable to you for any loss or damage resulting from any actions taken by delegates after the event.
5.3 Our liability for your other losses is limited to ten times the fees you paid, except losses relating to death, personal injury or fraud which are unlimited.
5.4 We have professional indemnity insurance to cover breaches of our professional standards of care.
5.5 In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied, we will refund your fees in full. Please inform us when completing the post-event questionnaire and give us the opportunity to repeat the event to meet your needs.
5.6 After the event, if you are entirely satisfied, please provide testimonials and allow us to use your logo in our marketing materials.
5.7 If there is a dispute, we will try to resolve it amicably. If not the courts of England can hear our dispute and enforce any award.
